Welcome to Thread-Bare!  We’re a DIY Thrift Store located inside The Stitching Studio (http://www.AustinStitchingStudio.com) in Austin, TX.

Thread-Bare came about as a result of receiving many generous donations to the Charity Craft Volunteer Network, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity providing handcrafted items to those in need in the Austin, Texas area.  We received many wonderful craft and sewing supplies that we just can’t use for our handcrafted items, so we are selling them at thrift store prices to help cover the costs of our supplies, equipment and workspace.

Come visit us at 9725B Anderson Mill Road, Austin, 78750.  Hours of operation are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10am – 3pm.  We take cash and checks only – no credit or debit.

You can also bring your tax deductible donations to this location during those hours.
