Finally, the doors are open at Thread-Bare.  We’re Austin’s first and only (I think) DIY thrift store specializing in craft and sewing supplies.  Everything in the store is a donation to the Charity Craft Volunteer Network, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity that operates out of The Stitching Studio producing handcrafted gifts for those in need in the Austin area (see http://www.CharityCraftCenter.org )

Hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10am – 3pm.  Located at 9725B Anderson Mill Road.  We have lots of great craft supplies at thrift store prices.  I’m hoping to post new items as they come in so be sure and keep up!  Most fabrics are $1/yard and any unmarked bundle is just 25 cents.  There’s scrapbooking supplies, books, beads, lace, paint, patterns, thread, and much more.  The selection changes just about every day as new donations come in.
